Happy November, y’all! One good thing to come out of all of the nonsense lately is that I actually got myself together before mid-December this year to post about…holiday ordering!
So, let’s talk about it. Firstly, here’s the holiday menu for this year:
Check it out! If you have a question about an item or anything on the menu, feel free to send me an email (that’s the best way to contact me, and will generally ensure the quickest response for questions), or call/text.
Orders are open now, and can be placed through December 13. Pickup and delivery are available through December 20. Pickup at the business location, a holiday market, or the kitchen are free; delivery incurs a fee based on your location.
You can order in one of two ways:
- Send me an email (thecrunchybaker @ gmail.com, without the spaces) or fill out the Contact form with your order. Be sure to include desired delivery/pickup options. I will send a confirmation email within 24 hours with any follow-up questions and information, as well as payment options.
- Call or text the number on the menu.
Again, I’m quickest to respond to emails and texts, but rest assured I will respond to you as soon as I can, regardless of contact method.
Orders should be placed at least 48 hours in advance (but ideally, 1 week) of your desired pickup or delivery date. Specialty cakes (particularly yule logs) require at least five days notice to allow for refrigeration and decorating time.
Payment can be done via Venmo or Square. Special orders must be paid in advance. Prices on the menu do not include tax or electronic payment fees, but your final invoice will reflect these fees. (Psst – if you catch me at a market and order there, you can pay with cash or SNAP tokens.)
If you have a special request or want something not specifically listed on the menu (e.g. a pastry or cake you’ve had at market), send me a message. I do have an in-season and local focus, so some fruits may not be available except in jam or filling form. As far as special dietary needs, while some cakes are naturally gluten-free (like a flourless chocolate cake or Orange Almond Cake) or dairy free (like my Pumpkin Olive Oil Cake), most menu items contain both gluten and dairy, and cannot be modified. Let me know of any food allergies in your order request.
Additionally, special orders are bulk orders – items are done in dozens or full cakes ONLY. For individual pieces, visit me at holiday markets and say hi! I’ll be at the following markets this season:
- East Asheville Tailgate Market (Fridays from 3-5:30pm, until November 22)
- Weaverville Holiday Market (Wednesdays from 3-6pm, until December 18)
- Enka-Candler Holiday Market: Saturday, November 16 11am-4pm
- Hopefully more, and I’ll update here!
Will I ship this year? Call, text, or email me and we’ll talk. The mail and roads are funky with Helene aftermath, but we may be able to figure something out if you’re close enough. Not all items can be shipped.
Aaaaaand I think that’s it. I’m looking forward to the holiday season (especially this year – what a year) and making you some tasty treats.
Happy holidays, and merry homesteading!
[…] psst – if you wanna get a head start on your post-Thanksgiving treats and gifts, get your holiday orders in with me as soon as you can. Let the madness […]
