Happy Friday, y’all!

To celebrate, here’s a short and sweet post introducing the newest members of our flock.

This is the first time we’ve gotten true pullets (young female chickens) rather than nearly-grown hens. We’ve been enjoying watching and holding these cuties for the past week, and not-so-enjoying the task of integrating them safely with our current flock. Thank goodness for chicken tractors and decent weather!

Preschool Homesteader is especially enjoying the new chickens, and named most of them. Drumroll, please.

In order of appearance: Lady Paprikash (Red Sexlink), Pork (White Rock), Popcorn (Barred Rock), aaaaaaaand Pepperoni (Golden Comet)!

Yep, our kid also has an…interesting sense of humor.
